Job Summary:

Centerstone (formerly known as Burrell) is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our collaborative team in Independence, Missouri and Kansas City, MO. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care and support to individuals experiencing mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders. You will assess client needs, administer medications, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, educate clients and families, and help create a safe, supportive environment that promotes recovery, wellness, and independence. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will play an important role in helping clients achieve their treatment goals while receiving high-quality, person-centered care.

• Provide compassionate nursing care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services
• Assess clients’ physical and emotional health needs and contribute to individualized treatment planning
• Administer medications and monitor client progress, responses to treatment, and overall wellbeing
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate clients and family members about mental health conditions, treatment options, medications, and self-care strategies
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding client status, concerns, and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment that respects the dignity and individuality of each client

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
• Ability to provide nursing services in accordance with professional standards of practice
• Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered care
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
