Summary: The Landscape Manager will lead our landscape operations and crew. Must have strong leadership skills, proven experience in crew supervision, and a solid background in irrigation systems, plant health care, and land management. A customer-service mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members in daily landscaping and maintenance tasks
- Develop and manage a routine schedule for mowing, trimming, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, mulching, and seasonal clean-up
- Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal functionality
- Monitor plant, turf, and tree health; apply or coordinate pest and disease control treatments as needed
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding grounds-related needs or concerns
- Source and procure landscaping materials (mulch, plants, tools, etc.) within budget
- Maintain and manage landscaping equipment, ensuring all tools are safe, serviced, and accounted for
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with long-term landscape planning and improvement projects
- Provide training, performance feedback, and leadership to crew members
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members
Education and/or experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience managing a landscape/grounds crew
- Strong background in irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and grounds maintenance
- Proven ability to manage labor, schedules, and landscape material procurement
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, equipment operation, etc.)
