Shop Service Manager

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Service Manager to lead a team of internal shop technicians. This is a unique position that requires a mixture of proven, hands‑on experience as a service technician, strong managerial skills, and the ability to foster rapport and ongoing communication across all departments.

• Manage, coordinate, and support a team of internal shop technicians, providing a strong sense of leadership and accountability
• Use technical expertise to provide real‑time guidance and assistance on shop repair jobs to ensure we provide best in class service repairs
• Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous communication across multiple departments to build and maintain strong working relationships

• Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic in the material handling equipment industry
• Advanced mechanical aptitude, professional demeanor, and a safety‑first mentality
• Resourceful thinker with ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve complex problems in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, or willingness to develop these skills
• Excellent computer skills

• 3 years of experience as a service technician with strong competency in the repair of material handling equipment
• Prior management experience preferred
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
• High School Diploma or equivalent
