HVAC Controls Service Technician

Field‑based – work is conducted on‑site at customer locations.

• Commission, program, set up graphics, establish communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned projects.
• Document point‑to‑point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close‑out requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems on site.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand installation and repair requirements by examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on‑site work.
• Keep current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued assets.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school (required).
• Minimum of 7 years of HVAC/Controls experience.
• Technical school or formal training preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone or iPad).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred.

Hourly base pay range: $21.89 – $40.34. Compensation is based on seniority, merit, location, education, experience, travel, and union designation.
