About the Role
As a Kinetic Buried Drop Team member, you will perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the network hub to customers’ residences. This safety‑sensitive position requires hands‑on technical skills and strong customer service.
What You’ll Do- Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers’ residences.
- Interact with customers to provide technical support and promote company products.
- Interpret work drawings and instructions, and complete required paperwork.
- Operate a hand‑held computer for job task management.
- Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cables.
- Train new employees on daily job functions.
- Physical ability to walk at least ½ mile while operating a drop plow.
- Willingness to work variable schedules, including overtime, callouts, and standby periods.
- Basic technology and math skills.
- Color‑matching ability for color‑coded cable.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Successful completion of required training, including overnight out‑of‑state travel.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Pass a DOT physical and obtain DOT certification.

• Driving: van continuously 67‑100%, occasional car or CMV work
• Climbing, bending, crouching, pushing‑pulling, and carrying continuously 67‑100% of the time
• Repetitive hand actions continuously 67‑100%
• Hearing and vision requirements are continuous, with occasional adjustments for peripheral vision.
• Exposure to cold, heat, dampness, vibrations, and other environmental factors as required by job duties.
• Use of test equipment, hand and power tools, and service vans.
