Title: EMCS Manager
Location: FDA facility, Jefferson, AR
Employment Type: Full-time; contingent upon contract award
Pay: $52.00 per hour, plus $11.55 fringe benefit

Position SummaryManage Energy Management Control System (EMCS), building automation, controls, monitoring, alarm response, scheduling, trending, and system optimization activities that support reliable facility operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee EMCS/BAS operation, monitoring, alarm review, scheduling, setpoint coordination, trending, and reporting.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance of controls, sensors, actuators, controllers, panels, and associated building automation components.
- Work with HVAC, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to resolve building performance issues.
- Support energy management, system optimization, customer reporting, and documentation of control changes.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel on controls repairs, upgrades, integrations, and system access.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site‑specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Must pass a 10‑panel pre‑employment drug screen and ongoing random drug/alcohol screenings as required by federal law.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Experience with EMCS, BAS, DDC controls, HVAC controls, building automation, or related control systems is required or strongly preferred.
- Ability to read control drawings, understand sequences of operation, analyze trends, and support troubleshooting is preferred.
- Experience with regulated, laboratory, federal, FDA, or mission‑critical facilities and their control system requirements is preferred.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑trade operations and maintenance team.
This position may require a combination of office work and field work, including walking the facility, visiting mechanical spaces, attending inspections, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying files, tools, or materials. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
