Lead Craftsman II
Location: FDA facility, Jefferson, AR
Employment Type: Full-time; contingent upon contract award

Pay: $36.87 per hour, plus $11.55 fringe benefit
Position SummaryLead skilled craft personnel and perform intermediate-to-advanced facilities maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and coordination across building systems and multi-trade work assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate craft work assignments, daily priorities, job planning, safety requirements, and work order closeout.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of facility systems, equipment, fixtures, finishes, mechanical components, and related building infrastructure.
- Review work quality, mentor craft personnel, and help resolve technical issues in the field.
- Coordinate materials, tools, access, permits, outages, and trade support required to complete assigned work.
- Maintain accurate documentation of labor, materials, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up needs.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Advanced experience as a skilled maintenance craft worker in commercial, institutional, government, or industrial facilities is required or strongly preferred.
- Prior lead experience and ability to coordinate multi-step maintenance tasks are preferred.
- Experience with CMMS/work orders, technical documentation, job planning, and multi-trade coordination.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- No relocation assistance is available.

This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying tools or materials, working in mechanical spaces, and performing duties indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
