Instrument Mechanic Lead
Location: FDA facility, Jefferson, AR
Employment Type: Full-time; contingent upon contract award

Pay: $32.84-$37.34 per hour, plus $11.55 fringe benefit
Position SummaryLead instrumentation work and perform or coordinate installation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of facility instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control devices, panels, and related monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead assigned instrumentation work, coordinate daily tasks, review priorities, and support preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pressure, temperature, flow, level, humidity, and other instrumentation as assigned.
- Support controls, panels, alarms, transmitters, actuators, control loops, BAS/EMCS interfaces, and related systems.
- Read and interpret control drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, manuals, work orders, and safety procedures.
- Document calibration results, maintenance activity, corrective actions, and equipment status accurately.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site‑specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Experience with instrumentation, calibration, controls, process equipment, BAS/EMCS, or related technical systems is required or strongly preferred.
- Prior lead experience and ability to use calibration tools, meters, and test equipment are preferred.
- Experience supporting regulated, federal, FDA, laboratory, industrial, or utility systems is preferred.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- No relocation assistance is available.

This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying tools or materials, working in mechanical spaces, and performing duties indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
