Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of the facility and identify building repair needs.
Repair and maintain interior and exterior building components.
Conduct basic plumbing work such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
Perform basic electrical tasks including replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets (non-licensed work).Maintain dock equipment such as dock plates, dock bumpers, and seals.
Repair and maintain racking systems, shelving, and general warehouse structures.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, patching, and general facility upkeep.
Maintain cooler/freezer door seals, insulated panels, and structural parts of cold-storage areas (not HVAC-related).Ensure building and grounds remain clean, safe, and compliant with company and safety standards.
Accurately complete and update work orders; communicate repair status to supervisors.
Assist with vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
Ability to work at heights using ladders or lifts.
Ability to work in cold-storage environments (down to –10°F) for short or extended periods.
Manual dexterity to use tools and perform repairs safely.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working in various environments, including cold storage (cooler: 35°F - 65°F, freezer:
-10°F–0°F)
Noise levels may vary depending on warehouse activity and machinery
Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts, depending on operational needs
May involve working indoors, outdoors, at heights and in tight spaces.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in building or facility maintenance.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repair.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments when necessary.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
