Role Description

The Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Springdale, AR. This position is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations for tractors, trailers, and shop equipment, ensuring all assets are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. Typical tasks include planning and scheduling preventive maintenance, prioritizing repair work, coordinating parts and supplies, and maintaining accurate service records. The Maintenance Manager supervises maintenance staff, provides technical guidance, enforces safety standards, and collaborates with operations and dispatch to minimize equipment downtime.

This role also monitors maintenance costs, supports vendor relationships, and recommends process improvements to enhance reliability and fleet performance.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Maintenance Management and Supervisory Skills to lead a team, coordinate workflows, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to diagnose issues, perform or direct repairs, and manage shop resources effectively.
  • Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance expertise to design, schedule, and monitor service programs that extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
  • Relevant experience with commercial trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units, preferably in a transportation or logistics environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and regulatory requirements related to DOT and fleet safety.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in maintenance or fleet management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in diesel technology or mechanical fields are beneficial.
