Compensation: $43.09 - $61.56 per hour
Responsibilities- Supervises daily operations for field safety operations ergonomists, industrial hygienists, and industrial safety consultant specialists.
- Plans and directs programming and service delivery for assigned region.
- Attends onsite employer consultations with staff throughout the entire region.
- Prepares status reports of service delivery outcomes, collaborations, and projects.
- Mentors staff in service delivery and professional development.
- Represents the Office of Safety Services at meetings with employers, trade associations, safety & health organizations, and various stakeholder groups.
- Plans for resource allocation and prepares/monitors budget expenditures.
- Supports all counties in Field Safety Operations Region 3, which includes the entire metro‑Dayton and metro‑Cincinnati areas.
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in a field of study commensurate with the position.
- Four (4) years of experience in a public or private organization in activities similar to those described, OR six (6) years of experience, OR equivalent.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety, health & fire prevention laws, rules, regulations, national voluntary standards, principles of safety management, safety training techniques, program development, industrial & construction safety practices, BWC regulations, physical sciences, accounting, management, employee training, Workers’ Compensation, BWC claims operations, rehabilitation services, supervisory principles, human relations, public relations, sales & marketing principles.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office, data analytics and visualization tools, BWC enterprise systems; understanding of safety testing equipment.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the regional Field Safety Operations program, manage off‑site employees, maintain records, write reports, facilitate meetings, and handle inquiries from employers and the public.

Hourly wage is expected to be paid at step 1 of the pay range for new employees. Current employees placed in appropriate step based on contract or law. Movement to the next step (≈4% increase) after six months, then annually until highest step. Possible COLA and longevity supplements after five years of service.
