About the Role:
The Tech Support Specialist is the IT backbone of Tech Time Cincinnati, ensuring that our instructors, staff, and students have a seamless technological experience. Because our entire organization revolves around tech education, this is a highly critical role. It is a fantastic opportunity for IT professionals, computer science students, or tech enthusiasts who want to utilize their skills to keep our networks secure, our equipment running, and our daily operations fully optimized.
Responsibilities:
Handle any and all technical issues that arise during day-to-day operations and active camp sessions.
Provide general IT troubleshooting for staff, instructors, and students (including hardware, software, and connectivity issues).
Monitor and maintain network security to ensure a safe digital environment for our youth and adult participants.
Design, implement, and manage automation flows to streamline administrative tasks and improve organizational efficiency.
Assist with the maintenance, setup, and safe storage of camp technology, such as laptops, gaming consoles, drones, and mobile devices.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be a college student, recent graduate, or professional in the IT or STEM field.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must currently reside in Cincinnati. Applicants who have lived outside the state of Ohio within the past 7 years may experience delayed or rejected applications due to background check limitations.
Strong problem‑solving skills and working knowledge of IT troubleshooting, network security protocols, and software automation.
Experience in Help Desk/IT Solutions.
CPR certification is a plus, though we do provide refresher training for our team.
Schedule and Commitment:
Mandatory training begins May 22, 2026.
The core summer programs operate from June 3 through August 7, 2026.
Summer hours run Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with select free Fridays. Flexible scheduling options are available to accommodate volunteer needs.
Your official start date will depend on the successful completion of onboarding, training, and background check verification.
