Final date to receive applications - OPEN UNTIL FILLED Pay and Benefits- Hourly Pay Range for 2026: $25.12-$35.34
- Longevity Pay: $350 after year five, and this amount increases by $70.00 per year up to a maximum of $1750.00.
- Tuition and textbook reimbursement is available up to $3000.00 per year for a job-related degree or job-related course.
- The City offers high-deductible health insurance plan. The yearly deductible for a family plan is $4000.00 and the City traditionally contributes $2000.00 in HSA towards that deductible.
Under the direction of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor, the Parks Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks such as grass cutting; laying out, maintaining, and repairing athletic fields and courts; and performing a variety of tasks required to support the Parks and Recreation Department.

Must be a U.S. citizen; must be at least eighteen (18) years of age; must have obtained a high school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) equivalent; and must obtain a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement within six (6) months of employment and retain it throughout course of employment with the City.
The Parks Maintenance Worker must have knowledge of building and grounds maintenance methods, tools, materials, and supplies; experience performing routine maintenance; strong organizational and follow-up skills; strong attention to detail; professional presentation and attitude; and strong time management skills.
Working ConditionsThe Parks Maintenance Worker often works with hazardous equipment and in hazardous situations. Injuries are possible from electrical shocks, cuts, or falls. They are often exposed to unusual or harsh elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. They frequently work in high places, such as on ladders and roofs.
