Position SummaryAs a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead you will drive member service in your area, supervise a team of hourly associates, and ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
What You'll Do- Be a Team Leader
- Supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan.
- Communicate departmental goals, set guidelines and expectations, and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
- Be an Expert
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of floor safety and compliance protocols, tire/battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality.
- Share knowledge, train the team, and support new product and technology adoption.
- Leverage learning resources and attend training conferences to drive continuous improvement.
- Be a Techie
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve service experience, and enhance associate engagement.
- Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, and product information.
- Adopt new tools and encourage others to do the same.
- Be an Owner
- Drive business results, maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, and manage proactive planning of equipment and supplies.
- Assist in staffing and scheduling, operate cash registers, and process transactions.
- Maintain accurate inventory, audit, and compliance documentation.
- Be a Talent Ambassador
- Train, coach, and monitor team members for e‑learning and training completion.
- Identify talent, develop skill sets, and encourage career growth.
- Source new talent internally and externally for the team.
- Additional Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs.
- Support compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Lead and participate in teams to coordinate work assignments and deliver quality results.
- Champion respect for individuality, collaboration, integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong supervisory and team‑building skills.
- In‑depth automotive and tire‑battery knowledge.
- Proficiency with digital tools and handheld technology.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
- 6 months supervisory experience or 6 months experience in the automotive industry.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to successfully complete required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.
- Prior supervisory experience in the tire industry.
- Tire industry certification.
