Job OverviewCare First Urgent Care is immediately hiring a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Physician Assistant for a full-time Provider position. Providers create their own schedules, receive a competitive benefits package, and have support from Medical Assistants, Medical Receptionists, Office Managers and Collaborating Physicians. This Provider position works 7-12 hour shifts per 2‑week pay period.
Job Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with acute minor medical illness and minor acute exacerbations of chronic illness
- Perform minor office procedures such as incision and drainage and laceration repair
- Perform wellness physicals, preoperative physicals, work‑related physicals (e.g., DOT, pre‑employment) and sports physicals
- Manage the patient’s care in a timely manner and maintain a level of productivity equivalent to other providers on staff
- Thoroughly and accurately document every patient encounter
- Order diagnostic labs/imaging as needed (point‑of‑care tests, x‑ray, etc.)
- Obtain DOT certification within 30 days of employment
