Sr. Accounting Manager

The Sr. Accounting Manager owns the core accounting operations of the business — running a tight month-end close, keeping the balance sheet bulletproof, and making sure AP, AR, and reporting run like clockwork. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role for someone who builds structure, enforces discipline, and thrives in a fast-growing CPG environment where precision matters.

• Own execution of the close calendar and daily task management
• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, intercompany entries, prepaid amortization, and deferred revenue
• Review all balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts are fully substantiated prior to close
• Prepare P&L fluctuation and variance analyses with clear, actionable commentary
• Deliver the monthly close reporting package on time and in a review‑ready state

• Oversee invoice approval workflows and execute weekly payment runs
• Review AP aging and elevate issues as needed
• Oversee expense coding accuracy

• Manage customer setup and credit evaluation processes
• Oversee billing, cash application, and collections efforts

• Coordinate audit PBC requests and manage audit timeline
• Draft technical accounting memos in partnership with the Controller
• Support sales and use tax compliance and income tax processes
• Own documentation and maintenance of accounting SOPs
• Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls
• Ensure financials are in compliance with GAAP
• Prepare financial statements and internal management reporting
• Support KPI reporting

You've been here before

• CPA required; active license strongly preferred
• 7–8 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• Audit experience required — public accounting or strong audit‑readiness experience preferred
• CPG industry experience strongly preferred, including understanding of inventory, trade spend, and margin drivers
• Strong Net Suite experience preferred with ability to maintain clean financial structure and identify inconsistencies
• Proven experience building accounting processes from the ground up in a developing environment
