Assistant Controller – Hospitality Management

Prominence Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controlle
r to support accounting operations across multiple hotel properties and entities. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional with hospitality or hotel accounting experience looking to grow within a fast‑paced environment.

This is a Hybrid position requiring a few days in our Des Plaines, IL office.

• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Analyze property‑level P&Ls and investigate variances
• Oversee AR, AP, cash, fixed assets, and prepaids
• Prepare and file sales and occupancy tax returns
• Support audits, lender reporting, and tax requests
• Partner with operations and internal teams to resolve accounting issues
• Identify process improvements and support accounting staff
• Act as backup to the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including multi‑entity accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with M3, Hotel Investor Apps, Quick Books, or similar systems
• Advanced Excel skills

• Hospitality, hotel, or property management accounting experience
• CPA or CPA‑eligible
• Experience with audits, tax, and lender reporting
• Familiarity with PMS or POS systems
• Hindi language proficiency is a plus
