Position OverviewIllinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Office of Financial Management (OFM) is seeking an experienced accounting supervisor to oversee accounting operations for several state and federally funded grant programs and oversee reconciliation activities for the Department. As a Program Accounting Manager (PSA) supervising 2 to 5 staff the ideal candidate will be well versed in Federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and the state’s Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) and able to apply this knowledge when overseeing the issuance of hundreds of grant awards per fiscal year while maintaining general ledgers totaling more than $200 million.
OFM needs an analytically focused and detail‑oriented candidate who can complete complex financial reconciliations while meeting deadlines associated with state and federal reporting. - Serves as Program Accounting Manager.

- Manages the operations of the Reconciliations unit by preparing, developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Directs the preparation of sub‑grant periodic and closeout/final financial status reports (FFSR) in accordance with federal and state guidelines by reviewing, evaluating and approving individual sub‑grant closeouts/FFSR packages.
- Responds to program staff and auditor questions and furnishes explanations and data related to administration of Accounting and Grant Systems.
