Payroll Accountant – Springfield, IL (Full Time)

Salary: $55,000‑$65,000 per year

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple payroll cycles
• Maintain payroll records, employee files, and payroll reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with bookkeeping and daily accounting functions
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, federal and state payroll laws, and company policies
• Assist with other accounting and finance duties as needed

• Previous experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
• Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and accounting principles
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
