** Job Summary
** We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
** Responsibilities
* ** Prepare and post journal entries.
* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
* Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records as needed.
* Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
* Prepare sales tax, payroll, and other regulatory filings as required.
* Support the accounting team with special projects and process improvements.
* Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of GAAP.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with accounting software (such as Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
* CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.
