The Sangamon County Circuit Clerk's Office is accepting applications for a full-time position for Deputy Clerk.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining court schedules, preparing files for court, clerking for the Judges, docketing information from court, updating files, and working with Judicial, State's Attorney, Public Defender and Probation Department's staff, as well as the general public.

Requirements

Graduation from high school; experience in operation of key entry equipment, multi-line phone, and other standard office equipment; typing, great communication and organizational skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must pass a criminal background check.

Skills

Knowledge of grammar, spelling, organizational, and communication skills; basic computer and typing skills; ability to accurately proofread in a timely manner; ability to follow written and oral instructions; and ability to use various software programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.
