Position SummaryNORA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support the finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a current college student to gain hands‑on experience in accounting operations, financial systems, and business processes within a mission-driven healthcare logistics organization. The intern will play an active role in billing functions, Net Suite system integration tasks, and the setup and maintenance of customer accounts.
This position offers practical exposure to real‑world accounting workflows in a professional environment.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in accordance with billing procedures
- Support billing reconciliation by reviewing charges, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections with the appropriate team members
- Assist with Net Suite system integration projects, including data entry, validation, and testing to support accurate and efficient financial workflows
- Set up and maintain new customer accounts in Net Suite, ensuring all required information is accurately entered and documented
- Verify customer account data for completeness and accuracy, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain missing information
- Support the finance team with ongoing system maintenance tasks, including updating records and assisting with process improvements
- Generate and distribute reports from Net Suite as directed by the finance team
- Assist with filing, document management, and maintaining organized financial records
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support cross‑functional accounting needs
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field
- Previous computer experience required; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (Net Suite experience a plus, but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
- Ability to learn new software systems quickly and adapt to evolving processes
- Solid organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
- Self‑motivated and eager to contribute in a team‑oriented environment
