Horace Mann is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Mail/Copy Center Specialist to support critical mail, print, and document production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and cost‑effective processing of company mailings, print requests, and shipping activities while maintaining high‑volume production equipment.

Key Responsibilities Mail & Print Operations- Consult with business units to identify the most efficient and cost‑effective solutions for large mailings, printing projects, and postage processing.
- Receive and fulfill Marketing Portal orders, including printing, packaging, and shipping materials using Fed Ex services while determining the most appropriate shipping method.
- Process Contact Center and Underwriting requests by printing, assembling, metering, and mailing required documents.
- Process electronic Add Car requests, meter mail, and prepare items for pre‑sort mailing services.
- Ensure all mail and print requests are completed accurately and within established service standards.
- Operate and maintain Copy Center and Mail Center equipment, including:
- High‑speed color and black‑and‑white printers
- Commercial cutters
- Commercial hole punch equipment
- Commercial folders
- Mail inserters
- Postage meters
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Provide Financial Reporting with postage allocation information for postage meters and pre‑sort mailing expenses.
- Create and maintain reports using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Monitor, track, and report mail and print volume trends to management.
- Assist with budgeting activities by providing operational data and reporting insights.
- Provide exceptional support to internal business partners by ensuring requests are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accuracy when matching records, processing documents, and handling sensitive business materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to create and maintain reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to match records, transfer information accurately, and maintain document integrity.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds at waist level and overhead.
- 2–3 years of practical experience in mail operations, printing, scanning, inserting, or document production environments.
- Proven knowledge of printers, inserters, postage meter equipment, and related mailroom technologies.
- Experience working in a high‑volume print and mail processing environment.
- Demanding office environment with significant daily production activity.
- Very limited travel, primarily to local post office locations and occasional training sites.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record (Motor Vehicle Record checked annually).
- $16.59 - $22.28/hr.
Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
