Job Title
In addition to many other duties, serves as the primary functional contact for registration-related activities including, but not limited to, processing withdrawals and special registration changes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with scanning and verification functions for all student records.
- Serve as an information resource to communicate registration, records, and academic policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff in person, by phone, or email. Assist with computer related registration procedures.
- Process non-routine registrations and related changes according to policies and procedures as needed in the Office of Records and Registration; this includes the processing of all withdrawal requests.
- Assist in processing incoming documents related to student records.
- Perform follow-up registration and related activities such as variable title identification and corresponding with non-registrants and non-attendees. Monitor repeat, audit, grading mode, and other types of registration error reports and make corrections/changes as appropriate.
- Assist with maintenance of document imaging (including the scanning, verifying, and retention of short-term and permanent student documents).
- Assist with end of term grade processing and transcript processing when necessary.
- Research registration information and data in order to assist in answering inquiries and appeals.
- Maintain registration office files, including the permanent records of all past schedules, catalogs, etc.
- Assist in the processing of student verification/deferments. Serving as backup for NSC enrollment reporting with resolving error discrepancies.
- Assist with questions related to tuition and fees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below: a. course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) 60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) b.
work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a professional office environment or higher education preferred. Keyboarding/computer and customer service skills.
