Job Summary
The Manager, Order Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the Order Management team to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of customer orders. This role drives operational excellence, enhances customer satisfaction, and ensures alignment across cross‑functional teams within a pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor daily order flow and sales activity, collaborating closely with internal teams and the distribution centre to proactively manage changes in ordering patterns, including but not limited to seasonal demand, product launches, and backorder releases.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales, and Distribution teams to ensure alignment on order status and priorities.
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing and shipments, with particular focus on quarter‑end close and customers with service‑level agreements (e.g., FTS/penalty terms).
- Oversee hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of department staff, including succession planning.
- Review and proactively resolve aging or at‑risk orders based on customer demand, current inventory levels, and forecasted supply.
- Assist in product setup and master data documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements related to freight and logistics costs.
- Participate in system upgrades and implementations to enhance order management and sales operations processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflows, increase efficiency, and improve overall business performance.
- Represent the organisation at industry meetings, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Customer Service or Sales Operations function, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or a related field.
- Strong leadership and managerial capabilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel and Power Query skills.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
The present‑anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $95,500 to $116,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
