Israel Payroll Operations Specialist - Global

Rippling brings together HR, IT, and Finance into a single system, automating HR lifecycle tasks and streamlining operations.

We’re looking for an experienced payroll specialist to join Rippling’s Global Payroll Operations team. This role will own all operational aspects across Israel (and, if needed, selected countries), manage external partner relationships, and support our global payroll software development and optimization.

• Execute timely payroll, filings, and payments for all customers across Israel and selected countries.
• Drive issue resolution and communication with government agencies and partners; directly interface with customers to resolve issues on their behalf.
• Work closely with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure that:
  • The payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirements.
  • Product bugs and issues (e.g., onboarding, calculation errors, offboarding, file generation errors) are quickly addressed.
  • Internal tooling requirements are properly prioritized and implemented.

• Minimum of 4+ years in a global payroll processing role, and minimum of 2+ years in a client‑facing role.
• Strong Israeli payroll experience.
• Experience running payroll in-house with common Israeli payroll software (familiarity with Hilan / HaShavim is a strong advantage).
• Must hold a valid Certified Senior Payroll Accountant credential from a recognized Israeli professional body (e.g., The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel).
• Deep understanding of Israeli labor laws, National Insurance (Bituach Leumi) regulations, income tax brackets, and mandatory pension/study fund (Keren Hishtalmut) compliance.
• Bonus: experience running payroll in other EMEA countries.
• Process payroll activities in accordance with company guidelines, social security, legislations, and local tax requirements.
• Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Docs/Sheets/Excel, for data analysis and task organization.
• Familiarity with Slack, Salesforce queues, JIRA tickets, and Confluence is a plus.
• Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
• Ability to review and validate calculations.
• Must understand payroll concepts, and have strong knowledge of payroll regulations.
• Has working experience with payroll related systems and software.
• Deep understanding of leave entitlements.
• Good knowledge of labor legislation.
• Strong organizational skills and able to work under strict deadlines.
• Fluent in both English and Hebrew.
