Job Title
Personal Financial Counselor

Primary Responsibilities- Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations resulting from Military needs, such as post-deployment events or coverage for absent counselors.
- Deliver the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
- Conduct one–on–one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referrals to external resources.
- Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program scope and needs are met.
- Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and furnish financial materials to service members and families.
- Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes and workshops on a variety of military lifecycle topics.
- Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling or electronic modes of communication such as web‑based chat or video teleconference.
- Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to DoD protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
- Participate in regular in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
- Bachelor's degree required, or associate degree plus 4 years of experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- U.S. citizen, fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required.
- Ability to obtain a Tier 2 investigation.
- Pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
- Certification required:
Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Driver License - Salary Range: $58,440 – $93,500 base salary.
