SHIFT: 8AM - 4PM

Job Summary

The Innovation and Clinical Integration Program Manager provides hands‑on coordination and execution support for innovation and clinical integration initiatives across Cook County Health. The Program Manager is responsible for maintaining program cadence, coordinating activities across multiple work streams, and ensuring initiatives align with established priorities and governance, including documentation and reporting.

This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules.

Typical Duties
  • Coordinates the day-to-day programmatic activities of innovation and clinical integration initiatives, including schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintains program documentation, trackers, templates, and shared files to support consistent execution and reporting across initiatives.
  • Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas and materials, documents action items, and follows up to support timely progress.
  • Tracks milestones, dependencies, and risks across initiatives and escalates issues to program leadership as appropriate.
  • Prepares summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership review, governance bodies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitates communication and drives the coordination among clinical, operational, administrative, and external partners involved in innovation and clinical integration work.
  • Supports alignment of initiatives with organizational priorities, timelines, and decision-making processes.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of program dashboards or status updates.
  • Remains current on emerging trends, tools, and approaches relevant to healthcare innovation and clinical integration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. (Must provide official transcript at the time of interview).
  • Two (2) years of experience leading and/or managing staff or programs.
  • One (1) experience in developing and maintaining program dashboards or workflows.
  • Strong written communication skills. Applicants will be required to provide a writing sample at the time of interview.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting programs, initiatives, or projects in a healthcare, public sector, or complex organizational environment.
  • Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional setting.
  • Experience with a culturally diverse population.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, quality improvement, innovation, or clinical integration work.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of staff and a patient population composed of diverse cultures and age groups.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize, plan, organize projects and tasks through completion.
  • Demonstrate analytical and organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and conflict management/resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and composure when challenged.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively with clinicians, operational leaders, and administrative staff.
  • Comfort working in evolving, non-linear environments where priorities may shift.
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to see cross‑initiative connections.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements, including compliance with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, department specific engineering and work practice controls, and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital-wide policy and departmental procedures.
