Position: Project Coordinator II (non-IT)

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a
Project Coordinator
for a prominent clientofours. This position is in
Lake County, IL 60064. Details for the position are as follows:
Location: Lake County, IL Pay Rate: $30–$32/hr Function: Supply Chain / Operations Experience: 2–5 years

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support Supply Chain launch readiness initiatives. This position will work with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, track milestones and action items, identify potential risks or delays, and ensure launch plans remain on schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting cross-functional projects
, is comfortable following up with multiple stakeholders, and can independently identify and elevate projects or deliverables that may be at risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities related to launch readiness and execution.
  • Schedule project planning meetings and ensure appropriate stakeholders are included.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, approvals, action items, owners, and due dates.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure action items and launch activities are completed on time.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, and blockers and escalates issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain project documentation, trackers, dashboards, templates, and other project management tools.
  • Support consistent project planning processes and identify opportunities to simplify or improve existing workflows.
  • Assist with change management, process documentation, and training activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and promote accountability across project teams.
  • Support post-launch reviews and document lessons learned to improve future launch planning and execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Business, Operations Management, Finance, Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of project management, project coordination, program coordination, or related experience.
  • Experience working with and coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to track multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Ability to independently identify, triage, and elevate at-risk projects or deliverables.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively follow up with stakeholders.
  • Experience with supply chain, operations, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, or another cross-functional environment is a plus.
