Overview

A family in Springfield, Illinois, is seeking a full‑time, experienced nanny to provide developmentally focused care for their young toddler, with the possibility of supporting a newborn arriving in late October. Immediate start. Salary range: $35 to $45 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.

• Kitchen cleanup, family laundry, changing bedding, and tidying shared/common areas.
• Snack and simple meal preparation.
• Occasional errands.
• Limited pet care during quieter periods such as naps or independent play.
• Planning and leading age‑appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social‑emotional growth.
• Maintaining consistent routines.
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks and supporting key developmental milestones typical of the toddler stage, such as language development, motor skills, and independence.
• Child‑related household tasks including tidying play areas, organizing toys, and handling children’s laundry.
• Strong communication and collaboration with parents, adapting as family needs evolve.
• Comfort working in a home with pets; flexibility for occasional overtime and domestic travel.
