Construction Technical Support Specialist

Vestas is the world's largest wind turbine manufacturing company with significant operations in the United States.

The Construction Technical Support Specialist supports the Installation Performance Management Team, performing onsite audit, tooling support, and participating in project meetings.

• Perform and report audit findings for onsite tasks, including observation and NCR creation, job book documentation reviews, MC completion, pre‑commission and commissioning completion.
• Join technical meetings with the customer / BOP to represent Vestas from the field perspective as needed.
• Review existing project documentation in Procore and adherence to established standards to ensure effective execution.
• Support construction project teams in preparation and presentation of job‑specific page turns and technical documentation for customers and sub‑contractors.
• Ensure that on‑site construction quality control measures are in place and implemented through audits.
• Follow up on project‑related engineering issues on site to ensure execution excellence.
• Manage site construction document quality through thorough onsite audits.
• Follow up on internal project requests and processes.
• Ensure that HSE requirements and guidelines are adhered to at project sites.

• Field experience in wind turbine farm construction and Vestas‑specific turbines.
• Firsthand experience in construction documentation / Job Book review.
• Good understanding of general contract elements and language interpretation, including scope, milestones, payment terms, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of the typical project construction lifecycle, schedules, and budgets.
• Working knowledge of construction activities that have an elevated level of quality control risk and impact on HSE.
• 300 Level Tier‑B‑Control on at least one Vestas turbine platform (2MW, 4MW, Enventus).
• Minimum 2 years of construction field experience and completion of 300 Level Core Tier‑B‑Control.

• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Well‑developed organizational capabilities.
• Excellent computer knowledge, with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Note.
• Comfortable presenting and speaking in front of leadership and large crowds.
• Proficient use of Procore.
• Experience in commissioning, mechanical completion walkdowns, leak checks, and troubleshooting.
