Construction Estimator

The Position

This full‑time, in‑office role for Construction Estimator involves initial review of construction estimates in Xactimate and Symbility, providing feedback and detailed justification through line‑item notes aligned with company goals. The estimator also creates construction estimates from the ground up using digital sources, and may eventually grow into a management position overseeing a team.

The role collaborates with the V.P. of Construction to develop standard operating procedures and process maps to streamline estimating. While primarily in office, work‑from‑home opportunities are available. Salary starts at $70,000‑$80,000 with up to a 20% bonus.

• Review job site information from photos and field notes.
• Estimate projects using Xactimate and Symbility.
• Provide training and feedback to estimators.
• Understand and provide feedback on monthly adjustments to estimating software.
• Submit complete estimates for approval within required timeframe.
• Experience with Matterport or similar 3D scanning software highly desirable.
• Communicate effectively with internal team, project managers, and insurance adjusters.
• Produce supplements and change orders as needed.

• Expert construction estimator in Xactimate and Symbility.
• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience (10+ preferred).
• Produce estimates that deliver excellent profit margins.
• Experience working with TPAs required.
• Able to handle high volume and execute estimates quickly on tight deadlines.
• Capable of training estimators on guidelines and industry trends.
