Qualifications
- Proficient organist familiar with organ repertoire and sacred music
- Flexibility and willingness to match the style of the congregation
- Ability to follow traditional Lutheran liturgy
- Ability and desire to work with music staff and volunteers
- A committed Christian growing in faith
- Provide organ music for the glory of God for scheduled worship services including regular Sunday services, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Thanksgiving and some Funerals.
- Accompany the choir (piano) and work with the Choir Director on average bi-weekly Sunday services.
- Accompany soloists and instrumentalists for special music that may be used in worship.
- Provide regular organ works such as preludes, postludes, as well as any special music for worship.
- Provide organ music for weddings and funerals as requested. (Fees are in addition to salary and are not paid directly by the church)
- Work cooperatively with the Pastor, Choir Director and Board of Elders
