Overview
This is an in‑office position located in Springfield, Illinois. The INB Teller role is a frontline customer‑service position that includes handling cash, processing transactions, and promoting banking products and services.
Your RoleAs a teller you will be the friendly face that customers look forward to seeing. Your day will involve a mix of transaction handling, customer service, and cross‑sale opportunities.
Responsibilities- Greet all bank customers and provide courteous service upon entry.
- Operate the teller window, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit‑card payments, and other transactions within established guidelines.
- Enter customer transactions into the computer, issue receipts, and assist with account questions.
- Place holds on accounts as appropriate and place orders for daily cash supplies.
- Balance and count cash, coins, and checks in the drawer, and reconcile totals with computer records.
- Maintain good customer relations, presenting additional services and cross‑sell opportunities to non‑customers and existing customers.
- Record customer interactions in the bank’s CRM platform.
- Customer‑centric attitude and professional demeanor.
- Detail‑oriented with strong precision; cash‑handling experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Tech‑savvy: comfortable using digital platforms to guide customers.
- Team player who supports colleagues and collaborates effectively.
- Ability to handle large sums of cash accurately and make sound judgment calls.
- Goal‑oriented with flexibility to adapt in an ever‑changing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Six months to one year of related experience or training in cash handling or customer service is preferred.
Additional Information- Pay: $16.00 per hour.
