Part‑Time Dental Assistant
Springfield Dental Care, a Heartland Dental supported office, invites new graduates and experienced candidates to join our 23‑person team of 4 doctors. We seek a motivated, patient‑oriented assistant open to learning new systems and communicating well with patients.
Schedule Availability- Monday 6:50 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

- Greet and welcome patients, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
- Conduct a thorough review of patients’ health histories to ensure quality care.
- Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
- Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during a variety of procedures.
- Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders.
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
- Dental assistant and/or x‑ray certification if required by state law.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- HIPAA training and PHI protection required for the role.
- 1+ year of experience in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
- Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
- Bring an up‑to‑date tuberculosis test (required for new hires, except in FL & TN).
