This Academic Cardiac Electrophysiology position offers the opportunity to help shape a growing EP program within an established cardiology department. In Springfield, you will step into a role where electrophysiology is a strategic priority, not an add-on service. With a balanced clinical schedule, dedicated academic time, and strong institutional support, this opportunity is well-suited for electrophysiologists who want both procedural focus and academic engagement without sacrificing stability.
Practice Overview- Collaborative cardiology team including 4 general cardiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, and an expanding EP service
- Supported by 4 Nurse Practitioners, including one with dedicated EP expertise
- Comprehensive EP scope with emphasis on atrial fibrillation management and device procedures
- Structured academic time for teaching, research, and program development
- Opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the electrophysiology service line
- Up to 2 full EP lab days weekly
- 3 to 4 half-day clinic sessions
- Approximately even split between lab and clinic responsibilities
- No formal call schedule, supporting predictable personal time
- Guaranteed base salary with strong earning potential
