The Department of Urology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Urology Surgeon for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, depending on experience and academic record. Tenure/Non-tenure track eligible.
Responsibilities- Reporting to the Chair of Urology, Bradley Schwartz, DO, and expanding and enhancing the academic Urology program in Illinois.
- Maintaining a medical practice at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
- Tutoring students, residents, and teaching clinical skills.
- Engaging in clinical and/or basic science research.

Required Qualifications and Abilities- Board-eligible or board-certified in the U.S.; eligible for Illinois medical license.
- Successful completion of a Urology residency and Pediatric Urology fellowship.
- Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

Compensation and BenefitsThe budgeted annual salary range for this position is $250,000 to $275,000, representing the academic base salary only, funded through the University. The final academic base salary will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget considerations.
Additional clinical compensation will be provided separately through a member practice agreement. This is a security-sensitive position. Pre-employment background screenings required.
