Sports Medicine Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported)

MedCBO offers physicians the opportunity to own and operate an independent medical practice while receiving comprehensive non‑clinical operational support.

Physicians establish or transition an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians retain full ownership and clinical authority;
MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational services.

• Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope.
• Develop professional relationships within the medical community.
• MedCBO coordinates payer credentialing with physician participation as required.
• Determine clinical services offered.
• Manage clinical quality and patient experience.

• Practice formation coordination.
• Billing and collections management.
• Payer contract negotiation.
• Financial infrastructure and reporting.
• Operational workflows and staffing systems.
• Technology platform and implementation.

• MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided.
• Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable.
• Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates.
• No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice.
• Interest in the independent practice model.

• Desire for practice ownership.
• Community‑based care interest.
• Leadership or program development interest.

Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure.

Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice. Financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions. Results are not guaranteed.

Physicians operate their own medical practice entity and are not employees of MedCBO. MedCBO provides administrative support services only. Practice performance, revenue, and income depend on physician decisions, clinical activity, and market conditions. MedCBO does not employ physicians and does not provide guaranteed income.
