The Department of Urology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Urology Surgeon for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The position is tenure or non-tenure track eligible.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Chair of Urology, Bradley Schwartz, DO, the incumbent will maintain a clinical practice, teach medical students and residents, and conduct clinical and/or basic science research. The position includes privileges at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
Required Qualifications and Abilities- Board-eligible or board-certified in the United States
- Eligibility for an Illinois medical license
- Completed residency in Urology and fellowship in Pediatric Urology
- Sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented minority populations
The academic base salary ranges from $250,000 to $275,000, funded through the University. Additional clinical compensation will be provided separately through a member practice agreement. The position offers self-insured malpractice, fringe benefits, and exceptional compensation plans. Pre-employment background screening is required.
