Academic Faculty Position in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Our organization seeks applications for a full-time academic faculty role in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This position is part of the Medical Group and offers a chance to engage in clinical care, education, research, and service both within the department and throughout the health system. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate in an academic setting, contributing to the training of future Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons interested in a full-time academic role should be prepared for a comprehensive hospital-based practice that includes regular on-call duties. New faculty members will have the chance to work in nationally and internationally recognized tertiary care and Level I trauma centers, as well as state-of-the-art outpatient facilities.

New hires will also be eligible for academic appointments and promotions through affiliated medical schools.

• Be a skilled surgeon with a focus on full-scope OMFS practice.
• Have a passion for resident education.
• Be motivated to engage in specialty-related scholarly activities.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for interacting with residents, clinical leadership, and administrative staff.
• Have completed a CODA/CDAC accredited residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Be board eligible and certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) within three years of appointment, and be able to obtain an unrestricted dental license in Michigan.
