Position:
Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Assistant/Associate Professor) – Department of Surgery, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care in a high-volume clinical setting at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a supportive academic environment.
- Lead or contribute to clinical or basic science research projects.
- Shape trauma care delivery and participate in department strategic planning.
- Graduated from an accredited medical school.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Illinois.
- Successful completion of an Orthopedic residency program.
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Analytical, compassionate, and sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
- Eligible for a security-sensitive position; background screening required.
