This individual will assume responsibility for active participation in the development and delivery of all instructional and clinical activities in the Division of Urogynecology and our established Women's Pelvic Floor Center within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Examples of Duties- Departmental – Participate in various departmental meetings and activities related to overall operations.
- Hospital – May serve on committees as designated at Memorial Medical Center and St. John's Hospital. Develop, in association with interdisciplinary designees and hospitals, a program of women's health in the area of pelvic care and education.
- Demonstrates commitment to the mission and behavioral standards of SIU School of Medicine. Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers through collaboration and partnership; compassion and respect; integrity and accountability; diversity and inclusion; as well as continuous learning and improvement.
- Assist in the coordination, development and delivery of the curriculum and electives for the medical students and the residency training program in Urogynecology.
- Teach Urogynecology to Ob/Gyn and Urology residents.
- Serve as a student mentor when appropriate.
- Participate in continuing medical education programs in Urogynecology.
- Participate in clinical investigations in areas of specialty interest either independently or with other faculty, students or residents.
- Actively participate in the SIU Health Care Plan with emphasis on clinical teaching and patient care.
- Hold appointments or committee assignments on state and national medical societies and hospital committees as assigned.
- Provide consultative assistance to state and national governmental agencies when requested.
- Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations
- Completion of an approved residency in obstetrics and gynecology
- Board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology
- Completion of Fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
- Board eligible or Board Certified or ABOG Certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
- Current State of Illinois medical license
- Eligible to be employed in the United States of America
The budgeted annual salary range is $335,000 to $506,000, representing the academic base salary only, which is funded through the University. The final academic base salary will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget considerations. Additional clinical compensation will be provided separately through a member practice agreement
