The Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Youth Services Assistant to support weekend service.
Schedule:
Every other Saturday 8:45-5
Additional hours may be possible during Summer Reading and special events
Responsibilities:
Provide friendly and proactive customer service to children and families
Assist with maintaining youth collections and displays
Support passive and in-house youth programming
Monitor youth spaces to ensure a welcoming and safe environment
Qualifications:
Experience working with children or families preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Comfortable multitasking in a busy public service environment
Reliable and punctual
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families, can think on their feet, and is comfortable supporting creative programming in a public library setting. Spanish language skills a plus.
