Special Education Teacher to provide supportive, student-centered instruction in a resource room setting for elementary school students.
In this role, you will work with students in grades 3-5 with diverse learning needs who speak Spanish and are learning English. You'll provide targeted small-group and individualized instruction that supports behavior goals and promotes inclusion within a structured resource room environment.

Hours:
32 hours per week
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans, modify curriculum, and track student progress in both English and Spanish.
- Support early elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs in a dual-language resource room setting by differentiating instruction to meet their individual educational goals.
- Utilize data-driven interventions and evidence-based instructional strategies to support student achievement and skill development.
- Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and positive peer interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Fluency and ability to teach in both English and Spanish.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement AND English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement in the state of Illinois.
- Prior experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in special education or inclusive classroom settings; experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred.
