Title of Vacancy: Middle School Teacher - Math

Location: Grant Middle School

Contract Period: 180 days

Reports To: Building Principal

Requirements /

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educators License with middle school or high school math endorsement.
• Knowledge of instructional practices that promote supportive learning environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form and have had prior experiences demonstrating the use of collaborative teamwork.
• Experience in flexible grouping instructional practices.
• Working knowledge of integrated instruction and student-centered learning.

Responsibilities:

• Work with students to build organizational skills.
• Provide support to students for core classes through a tutorial model.
• Assist students with self-monitoring of academic progress and communication with teachers.
• Work collaboratively with students and families to support student academic needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Effective Date: First contractual day of the  District 186 180-day calendar.
