Lecturer Faculty Lecturer; Elementary Education

The Education Division at Saint Xavier University invites applications for a full‑time faculty lecturer position. The instructor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in teacher preparation programs, with expertise in Elementary Education. Additional expertise in Early Childhood Education and/or English as a Second Language/Bilingual education is highly desirable.

Start date:

Fall 2026.

• Teach 12 credit hours each semester in education courses related to the lecturer’s area of expertise. Courses may be graduate or undergraduate, delivered in‑person or online.
• Provide service to the Education Division—including curriculum, assessment and accreditation activities—and support the College of Liberal Arts and Education and the University.

• PhD in Education (or closely related field) or EdD preferred; a master’s in Education or a closely related field is acceptable.
• Evidence of or potential for excellence in university teaching, including the use of evidence‑based best practices.
• Teaching experience at the pre‑K‑12 and collegiate levels.
• Knowledge of state and national teacher‑education requirements.
• Expertise in Elementary Education. Additional expertise in Early Childhood Education and/or ESL/Bilingual education is highly desirable.
