Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students across multiple school districts in Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area, including but not limited to:

Some districts begin as early as August 10, 2026 for professional development.
- Private and Charter school networks within the city, and throughout the metro area
- Maywood-Melrose Park-Broadview School District 89
- Oak Lawn School District 123 & Community High School District 229
- And many more partner districts
Assignments span a variety of classroom settings, including resource, inclusion, and self-contained programs
, supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Contract Term: August 24th, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 35–40 hours per week (based on district placement)
Location: In-person (multiple site opportunities available)
Compensation and Benefits- $45–50+/hour (W-2), based on experience

- Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Illinois Learning Standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct student assessments and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Support behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education (LBS1) endorsement
- Experience working with K–12 students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and differentiated instruction
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
