Part-time Adjunct Faculty – Plano Campus

Workforce Trainers provide skills‑based training and experiences in a traditional or non‑traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment. The instruction provided will be specific to participants enrolled in Workforce Education offerings across the career continuum, including career starters, career changes, and those seeking advance career opportunities. The trainer must utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and levels of experience, and must be comfortable providing one‑on‑one mentorship and support to trainees.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct hands‑on training and evaluate student performance to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with employers to deliver customized training solutions.
  • Participate in training needs assessment using various techniques.
  • Deliver interactive and engaging training for individuals, groups, and companies using alternative and non‑traditional methodologies appropriate for adult learners.
  • Prepare and select education materials, and assist with development and evaluation of new curricula and program designs.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to align training with current workforce needs.
  • Make recommendations on updating training materials to reflect current industry practices and technological advancements.
Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field, industry‑recognized credential in the discipline of instruction, or equivalent work‑related experience in a manufacturing‑related environment.
  • Previous experience in training or education highly desirable.
  • Competencies in schematics, ladder diagrams, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, training techniques, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, safety principles, and familiarity with predictive maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Pay Rate: $55
