Significantly Modified Curriculum Developers

Role Overview

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is a public sector solutions implementation firm providing services to health, education, and human services agencies. PCG’s Education Consulting Service Line partners with state and local districts to develop curriculum, instructional resources, and professional learning. This position supports a K–8 English Language Arts (ELA) Significantly Modified Curriculum project for a large school district, creating daily lessons for students with significant disabilities.

• Develop daily ELA lessons for assigned K–8 grades using client- and PCG-provided criteria.
• Create or revise ancillary materials and slide decks as needed.
• Align lessons with district Scope & Sequence documents and PCG templates, models, and process guidance.
• Revise deliverables in response to client and PCG leadership feedback.
• Adhere to specified schedules and deadlines for content completion.
• Engage in rapid, collaborative development with other Curriculum Developers, the Curriculum Lead, and PCG team members.
• Participate in team meetings and calibration discussions.

• Knowledge of ELA curriculum and instruction, culturally responsive teaching practices, Essential Elements, Dynamic Learning Maps, WIDA Access Standards, Universal Design for Learning, and Backwards Design.
• Experience writing standard‑aligned IEP goals and designing instruction for students with significant cognitive disabilities.
• Understanding of communication, core vocabulary, and assistive technology use.
• Familiarity with the SWIFT Center on Inclusion’s Toward Rightful Presence framework.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience teaching diverse learners in ELA classrooms, including English Learners and students with significant cognitive disabilities.
• Deep content knowledge in English Language Arts demonstrated by years of teaching and/or relevant experience.
• Experience developing curricular resources and authentic assessments for others.
• Familiarity with Google Drive.
• Experience with digital learning instructional design (preferred).

Remote role with occasional in‑person or travel requirements. Availability during standard business hours with some night or weekend work as needed. Full‑time availability is required. Start date is immediate (March
2026); anticipated end‑date is November
2026. Salary range: $93,300–$100,000.
