Cybersecurity Instructor

Duties

* Supervise and instruct high school students in network setup, administration, and maintenance, as well as implementation of security measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

* Prepare students to establish and manage communication networks and protect those networks against cyber threats.

Qualifications

* Must have 2,000 hours of experience in the cybersecurity field

* Must have or obtain an Illinois teaching license for secondary education. The administration will assist you with obtaining the license. The license will be granted based on a combination of education and relevant work experience. An educational degree is NOT required.

Salary/Benefits

The salary range for this position is $43,472 - $54,000 based on education and relevant work experience.

* School-paid retirement through the Illinois Teachers Retirement System

* Paid time off - 11 sick days and 3 personal days per school year

* Work schedule closely follows area school calendars - work year is mid August to late May

* Employees are paid semi-monthly throughout the entire year
